Koepka Renewed Membership: No Suspension, Back on PGA Tour Now

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh wants to compete again, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion will stay connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for family. This was amicably agreed upon, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitive type who gets highly motivated in top-level sports competitions, something LIV did not fully satisfy. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly because of injury troubles and to secure a solid retirement fund. His decision to skip the last contractual season is not surprising, though questions remain about buyouts or repayment of guaranteed money. Koepka remains owner of his LIV team Smash GC, with Talor Gooch as the new captain.

Speculation is rife about where Koepka will play next. On the DP World Tour, where he would be eligible immediately—possibly with a penalty? Or on the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV appearance, following the easing of previously lifetime bans by former Commissioner Jay Monahan? It makes sense not to seek revenge when LIV returnees benefit the more dominant tour. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported that Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership not renewed after 2022.
