Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns at 62, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for his family. This was amicably agreed upon, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. However, questions remain about Koepka’s status. The 35-year-old, who joined LIV in 2022 amid injury concerns and to secure his retirement finances, will not play his last contracted season with LIV. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, now led by captain Talor Gooch.

Speculation looms on where Koepka will next compete. He has immediate eligibility on the DP World Tour, possibly facing a penalty. On the PGA Tour, he would serve a one-year suspension from his last LIV event, after former Commissioner Jay Monahan reduced the original lifetime bans. Why be vindictive when returning LIV players help the PGA Tour? According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool.
