Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager for a comeback, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected: Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was amicably agreed upon, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s statement. However, Koepka, a competitor by nature, thrives on top-level competition, which he found limited at LIV. He originally joined LIV in 2022 due to injuries threatening his career and to secure a solid retirement fund. It’s no surprise he skipped his final contractual season, though questions remain about possible payouts or ownership status of his LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation abounds about which fairways Koepka will appear on next. The DP World Tour would grant immediate eligibility, likely with a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV start, after previous lifetime bans were eased. Why be vindictive when every returning LIV player, especially a star like Koepka, benefits the PGA Tour which holds the upper hand? ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool.
