Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh is back too, and Charley Hull heads to YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the LIV Golf League for the 2026 season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the competing circuit but wants more time for family. This was reportedly agreed upon amicably, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka, known for thriving in high-level competition, was less motivated at LIV. Having joined LIV in 2022 mainly because of career-threatening injuries and to secure a retirement fund, his skip of the final contracted season is unsurprising, though questions remain about financial arrangements. He remains the owner of LIV team Smash GC, with Talor Gooch as the new captain.

Speculations abound about where Koepka will compete next: DP World Tour, where he would be immediately eligible likely with a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension following his last LIV appearance, downgraded from earlier lifetime bans. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported that Koepka formally applied to reinstate his PGA Tour membership last Friday.
