Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager to play again, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This amicable agreement was officially stated by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, something he only moderately found at LIV. He originally joined LIV in 2022 partly due to injury concerns and to secure his retirement funds. His decision to skip the last contracted season is not surprising, though questions remain about buyouts or refunds. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, with Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculation is rife about where Koepka will next tee off: the DP World Tour where he could play immediately, maybe with a penalty, or back on the PGA Tour where he would serve a one-year suspension after his last LIV event, now reduced from a lifetime ban. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, last Friday Koepka formally applied to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, ending his hiatus after 2022.
