Koepka’s Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Back on PGA Tour Now

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more family time. This friendly agreement was stated officially by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who gets highly motivated during top-level competition, something he lacked at LIV. Originally, he switched in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and a desire to secure a good retirement fund. His skipping the last contractual season raises questions about a buyout or repayment. He remains owner of the LIV team Smash GC, which named Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculation grows over where Koepka will next tee off. On the DP World Tour, where he would be eligible immediately—likely with a penalty? Or back on the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV appearance, softened from a lifetime ban. Why hold grudges when a prominent LIV returnee benefits the established tour? ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied to reactivate his PGA Tour membership last Friday.
