Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh ready for a return, and Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the LIV Golf League for the 2026 season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more time for his family, according to a friendly agreement stated by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, a competitive type who thrives on high-level competition, showed limited motivation at LIV. Having switched in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure good retirement earnings, his decline of the final contracted season is not surprising, though questions remain about financial details and his ownership of the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation continues about which fairways Koepka will join next: the DP World Tour, where he would be immediately eligible possibly with a fine, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension since his last LIV event, now softened from a lifetime ban. According to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player ranks.
