Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting on February 7 in Riyadh. The five-time major champion will remain connected to the rival circuit but wants more time for his family, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka, known for his competitive drive at the highest levels, was only moderately motivated at LIV and originally joined in 2022 due to injury concerns and securing his retirement fund. Questions remain about contractual details and his ownership of the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation abounds about which tour Koepka will play on next. He could regain immediate eligibility on the DP World Tour, possibly with a penalty, or return to the PGA Tour, where a one-year suspension from his last LIV event applies, although lifetime bans have been greatly reduced. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported that Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership, which was not renewed after 2022.
