Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns Immediately to PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the LIV Golf League for the 2026 season starting February 7 in Riyadh. The five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but requires more time for family, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, something he lacked at LIV. Originally, Koepka joined LIV in 2022 mainly because he feared his career was ending due to injury and sought a good retirement fund. Thus, his skipping the last contractual season isn’t surprising, though questions linger about financial matters and his ownership status with LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation continues about where Koepka will next compete: the DP World Tour, where he would be eligible immediately possibly paying a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after LIV participation but the lifetime bans under former commissioner Jay Monahan have been softened. In fact, ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported that Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player ranks.
