Membership Renewed Without Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh ready for a comeback, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion will remain connected to the competing circuit but needs more time for family. This friendly agreement was confirmed by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is known as a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, something he found only limited in LIV. He switched in 2022 partly due to injury concerns and to secure a solid retirement fund. Hence, his skipping the last contracted season is understandable, though questions remain about financial terms and his ownership status of LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculations abound about which fairways Koepka will soon appear on — DP World Tour, likely with immediate eligibility but possibly facing penalties, or PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV event. After past life bans were softened, returning LIV players like Koepka seem to be welcomed back as it benefits the dominant tour. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, vacant since 2022, to rejoin the player pool.
