Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns Immediately to the PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers; Vijay Singh wants to compete again; Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the LIV Golf League for the 2026 season, which starts on February 7 in Riyadh. The five-time major winner plans to remain connected to the competing circuit but requires more time for family, according to an amicable agreement reported by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, known as a highly competitive athlete, has been less motivated in LIV events. After joining LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns, he aimed to secure his retirement finances. Speculations remain about whether Koepka bought out his contract or reimbursed part of his guaranteed salary. Despite stepping back as an active player, he remains the owner of the LIV team Smash GC, which recently appointed Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculations also arise about where Koepka will compete next. He could play on the DP World Tour immediately—possibly with a penalty—or return to the PGA Tour after serving a one-year suspension following his last LIV appearance. The lifelong bans previously imposed have been significantly reduced. Recently, ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported that Koepka formally applied to reactivate his PGA Tour membership last Friday.
