Brooks Koepka Rejoins PGA Tour with Membership Renewed, No Suspension

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returning, and Charley Hull launching a YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

Brooks Koepka, the five-time major champion, has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; he remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. LIV CEO Scott McNeil confirmed the amicable agreement. Koepka, known as a competitor motivated by top-level challenges, was less engaged in LIV and originally joined in 2022 due to injury concerns and the desire for a substantial retirement fund, explaining his decision to forgo the final contract year. Uncertainties remain about contract buyouts or refunds. Koepka also remains owner of the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation is rife on which tour Koepka will appear next: the DP World Tour, where he is immediately eligible, perhaps with a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where a one-year suspension applied after his last LIV event might expire. Former lifetime bans by commissioner Jay Monahan have been softened, and Koepka reportedly formally applied last Friday to reactivate his non-renewed PGA Tour membership for 2023 and beyond, according to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach.
