Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh aims for a comeback, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially opted out of the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for family. This was a mutual agreement, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, something he found limited at LIV. His 2022 move was mainly for financial security due to injury concerns about the end of his career. Questions remain on whether he had to buy out his contract or forfeit part of his guaranteed salary. Koepka, 35, still owns his LIV team Smash GC, which has named Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculations grow on which tour Koepka will join next. The DP World Tour would grant immediate eligibility, possibly with a penalty, or the PGA Tour where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV appearance, but the lifetime bans have been significantly softened. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player group after 2022.
