Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back Immediately on PGA Tour

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, Charley Hull to launch YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf League season starting on February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion will stay connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This amicable agreement was the official statement by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on top-level competition and motivation, something he found limited in LIV. In 2022, he joined LIV mainly due to injury concerns threatening his career and to secure a solid retirement fund. Thus, skipping the final contractual season is not surprising, though questions remain about buyouts or repayments. At 35, Koepka still owns the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation grows about where Koepka will play next: DP World Tour, where he would have immediate eligibility, possibly paying a penalty; or PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV event after lifetime bans were significantly softened. The key question seems partially answered: according to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership after 2022 and to be reinstated as a player.
