Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Now Back on the PGA Tour

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh back on the PGA Tour, and Charley Hull launching a YouTube channel. The Back Nine.

Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season beginning February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain linked to the rival circuit but needs more time for family. This amicable decision was announced by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, known as a competitive player who thrives on high-level competition, had limited motivation in LIV events. After switching to LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns and to secure his retirement finances, it is not surprising he declined his final contracted season, though questions remain about financial arrangements and his ongoing ownership of the LIV Smash GC team, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation is rife about which tours Koepka will compete on next. He is immediately eligible for the DP World Tour, possibly subject to penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he would need to serve a one-year suspension since his last LIV event after former commissioner Jay Monahan softened life bans. This key question seems partly answered as Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, according to ESPN reporter Mark Schlabach.
