Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh ready for a comeback, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the LIV League for the 2026 season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more family time. LIV CEO Scott McNeil confirmed this amicable agreement. Koepka, a competitor who thrives in high-level contests, did not find the same motivation in LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure a retirement fund, making his opting out of the final contract year unsurprising, though questions remain about financial settlements and his ownership status in the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculations abound regarding where Koepka will play next—DP World Tour eligibility could be immediate, possibly with a penalty, or the PGA Tour after serving a one-year suspension following his last LIV event, as previous lifetime bans were softened. The key question seems partly answered: according to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool.
