Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh is making a comeback, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season, which begins on February 7 in Riyadh. The five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This amicable decision was announced by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, a fierce competitor who thrives on top-level contests, was not fully motivated at LIV, having joined mainly for financial security due to injuries threatening his career in 2022. Questions remain whether he had to buy out his contract or repay guaranteed money. He remains owner of the LIV team Smash GC, with Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculation surrounds where Koepka will play next. He is eligible immediately on the DP World Tour, possibly with a penalty, or on the PGA Tour after serving a one-year suspension following his last LIV event, after former Commissioner Jay Monahan reduced lifetime bans. This key question seems partly answered: ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied to reactivate his PGA Tour membership last Friday.
