Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh making a return, Charley Hull soon launching a YouTube channel. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more family time. This friendly agreement was stated by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, something he lacked at LIV. He initially joined LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns about ending his career and to secure a lucrative retirement fund. His decision not to play the last contract year raises questions about buyouts or wage repayments. He remains owner of the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation arises about where Koepka will next play; DP World Tour, where he likely has immediate eligibility possibly with penalties, or PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after LIV appearances, softened from lifetime bans. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reports Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership not renewed after 2022.
