Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the LIV Golf League for the 2026 season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for family. This was a friendly agreement according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who thrives in top-level contests, something he lacked in LIV. He initially joined LIV in 2022 due to injuries and to secure a retirement fund, so skipping his final contracted season is not surprising, though questions remain about possible buyouts or salary repayments. He still owns his LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation is rife about which tour Koepka will join next—DP World Tour, where he would be eligible immediately, possibly with a penalty, or PGA Tour, where he must serve a one-year suspension after his last LIV event, following former commissioner Jay Monahan’s reduction of lifetime bans. ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported that Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player roster.
