Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Back on the PGA Tour Immediately

First start at Farmers, Vijay Singh makes a comeback, Charley Hull launches YouTube channel. The Back Nine.

Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting on February 7 in Riyadh. The five-time major winner will remain connected to the competing circuit but requests more family time, according to a friendly agreement stated by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, known for thriving on top-level competition, has had limited motivation at LIV and initially joined in 2022 due to injury concerns and securing a solid retirement fund. Questions remain whether he had to buy out his contract or return part of his guaranteed salary. He remains an owner of the LIV team Smash GC, recently captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation grows about which tours Koepka will join next: the DP World Tour, where he would be eligible immediately—possibly facing a penalty—or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension following his last LIV event, after previously lifetime bans were reduced. According to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player ranks.
