LIV Golf Promotions: Full Field Announced for 2026 Qualifier in Florida

The 2026 LIV Golf Promotions event in Florida will feature 87 players competing for two coveted spots in the league.

The official field for the 2026 LIV Golf Promotions event has been announced, with 87 players set to compete from January 8–11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This year, two spots in the LIV Golf League are up for grabs, compared to just one last year when Chieh-po Lee earned promotion in Saudi Arabia. Prize money has also increased, as LIV Golf continues to refine its promotion and relegation system in pursuit of Official World Golf Ranking points.

Big Names Headline LIV Golf Promotions Field

German-speaking players Maximilian Kieffer and Matthias Schwab are among the hopefuls aiming to secure a place in the league. The field also includes the top ten players from the International Series, such as Miguel Tabuena (Philippines winner), Ollie Schniederjans (India), and Wade Ormsby (Jakarta). They are joined by former LIV players like Ben Campbell, Matt Jones, Andy Ogletree, Anthony Kim, Max Rottluff, and John Catlin. Notable European names include Ryder Cup veteran and BMW PGA champion Chris Wood, five-time DP World Tour winner Alex Levy, and former Open Championship silver medalist Tom Lewis. Former DPWT regulars Callum Shinkwin and Lucas Bjerregaard, along with Walker Cup players Dominic Clemons and Charlie Forster, round out the diverse lineup.

According to LIV Golf, 50 of the 87 participants have won tournaments in the past two years, including 39 different winners from OWGR-sanctioned events in 2025. “The evolution of LIV Golf Promotions reflects our ongoing commitment to creating truly open and competitive pathways for players worldwide to compete at the highest level,” said LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil. “It will be a high-stakes, high-intensity competition from start to finish, and we look forward to celebrating those who earn their place in LIV Golf’s biggest season yet.”

PGA Tour Players Still Barred

Once again, no PGA Tour players will participate, as the tour classifies the four-day event as unauthorized. Any PGA Tour member who competes would face a one-year suspension. Tensions between the two leagues remain high, recently reignited by Laurie Canter’s decision to relinquish his PGA Tour card to return to the Saudi-backed league.
