LIV Golf Promotions 2026: New Opportunities for Kieffer, Bachem & Co.

Several German-speaking pros compete at LIV Golf Promotions in Florida for three LIV Golf League 2026 spots.

From January 8 to 11, the LIV Golf Promotions in Lecanto, Florida, will bring together nearly 90 players from 24 countries, all vying for one of three wild-card spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League. The competition spans four rounds of stroke play, with daily cuts and new chances. Those making the weekend will compete for a total purse of $1.5 million and a place in the global LIV Golf circuit. Three spots in the 2026 LIV Golf League and guaranteed starts in all 13 events are at stake. Ten others will earn starts in the International Series.

LIV Golf Opens the Door – Who Will Seize the Opportunity?

The field boasts tour winners, former LIV players, and newcomers alike. For some, it’s a comeback opportunity; for others, a chance to break through. Among them are five German-speaking participants who view this as a major opportunity and possibly the start of a new chapter.

Max Kieffer Preparing for the Next Chapter

For Max Kieffer, this event could be his most important since his 2022 DP World Tour victory. After 13 years at the European Tour level, he lost his tour card. The 2025 season did not go as planned, with Kieffer dropping in the rankings and missing Q-School. Now, he turns to LIV Golf, bringing experience and determination, stating recently, \”We’re not done yet.\” Florida will reveal how far he can come back.

Foos, Bachem, Rottluff, Schwab: Each with Their Own Story

Dominic Foos made a mark in 2025 with a win on the Asian Tour. His consistent play and international exposure earned him a spot in the promotions, and he aims for more. For the 28-year-old, joining the LIV Golf League would mean both a sporting step up and a spotlight boost on tour.

Nick Bachem’s 2025 ended bitterly with injury and form struggles, finishing last at Q-School. But at 26, he is known for resilience and has previously won at a top level. Similarly, Austrian Matthias Schwab missed the final round of Q-School and thus realistic chances for a tour card. After years on the PGA and DP World Tour, he now seeks a new path – possibly through LIV Golf. Maximilian Rottluff brings his own perspective as the 32-year-old qualified last year through this very tournament for the Asian Tour’s International Series.

Familiar Names and Open Chapters at LIV Golf

The international field features many well-known global golf pros, including Ryder Cup participant Chris Wood (England), five-time DP World Tour winner Alex Levy (France), Miguel Tabuena (Philippines), a top-three finisher in the 2025 International Series, and Pablo Ereno (Spain), formerly among the top ten in the amateur world rankings. Christopher Wood (Australia), current PGA Tour of Australasia leader, is also competing. Former LIV players such as Anthony Kim, Matt Jones, and Ben Campbell use the promotions to qualify again for
