LIV Golf Promotions 2026: New Opportunities for Kieffer, Bachem & Co.

Several German-speaking professionals compete for three spots in the LIV Golf League 2026 at the LIV Golf Promotions in Florida.

From January 8 to 11, the LIV Golf Promotions in Lecanto, Florida, bring together nearly 90 players from 24 countries, all aiming for one of three wild-card spots for the LIV Golf League 2026. The competition consists of four rounds of stroke play with a new cut each day and new chances for players to progress. Those who make it to the weekend will compete for a total prize fund of $1.5 million and a place in the global LIV Golf circuit. Ultimately, three players will earn spots in the LIV Golf League 2026, with guaranteed starts at all 13 events, while ten others will secure starting rights for the International Series.

LIV Golf Opens the Door – Who Will Seize the Opportunity?

The field includes tour winners, former LIV players, and newcomers, creating a high-caliber competition. For some, it’s a comeback; for others, a chance to break through. Among them, five German-speaking players view the event as a significant opportunity and potentially the start of a new chapter.

Max Kieffer Faces a New Chapter

For Max Kieffer, this event might be his most important appearance since his 2022 DP World Tour victory. After 13 years on the European Tour, he lost his tour card, and 2025 did not go as planned. Falling in the rankings and missing Q-School, he now turns to LIV Golf. The Düsseldorf native brings experience and a determined mindset, stating \”We’re not done yet.\” Florida will reveal how far his road back goes.

Foos, Bachem, Rottluff, Schwab – Each with Their Own Story

Dominic Foos, who made a mark in 2025 with an Asian Tour win, aims higher by competing in the promotions. For the 28-year-old, advancing to the LIV Golf League would be both a sporting advancement and a boost into the tour spotlight.

Nick Bachem’s 2025 was challenging with injury, a form crisis, and finishing last at Q-School. Yet, the 26-year-old is known for resilience and has shown he can win at the highest level. Similarly, Austrian Matthias Schwab missed the final round of qualifying and thus realistic chances for a tour card. After years on the PGA and DP World Tour, he seeks a new path through LIV Golf. Maximilian Rottluff, aged 32, approaches the LIV Golf Promotions with a unique perspective, having qualified last year through this exact tournament for the Asian Tour’s International Series.
