Several German-speaking pros compete in Florida for three LIV Golf League 2026 wild-card spots.

The path leads through four rounds of stroke play, with daily cuts and fresh opportunities. Players who make it to the weekend will compete for a total prize pool of 1.5 million US dollars and a spot in the global LIV Golf circuit. Ultimately, three spots for the 2026 LIV Golf League are up for grabs, including guaranteed starts at all 13 events. Additionally, ten players will secure starting rights for the International Series.

LIV Golf Opens the Door – Who Will Seize the League Entry?

The field includes tour winners, former LIV players, and newcomers. For some, it is about a comeback; for others, the first big breakthrough. Among them are five German-speaking participants for whom the event represents a real opportunity and possibly the start of a new chapter.

Key Contenders From the German-Speaking World

For Max Kieffer, this event might be his most important appearance since his 2022 DP World Tour victory. After 13 years on the European top tier, he lost his tour card. The 2025 season did not go as planned; Kieffer dropped in rankings and missed Q-School. Now it’s LIV Golf. The Düsseldorf native brings experience and a clear mindset that it’s not over yet: \”We’re not done yet,\” he recently stated. Florida will show how far the way back really is.

Other notable players include Dominic Foos, who attracted attention with an Asian Tour win in 2025. With consistent play and international experience, he earned his way into the promotions and aims to do more. For 28-year-old Foos, jumping into the LIV Golf League would be both a sporting advancement and a launch into the tour spotlight.

Nick Bachem had a tough 2025 with injury, a form slump, and finishing last in Q-School, but he is known not to give up easily. Bachem has demonstrated he can win at the top level. Similarly, Austrian Matthias Schwab missed the tour school final round, losing realistic chances for a tour card after years on the PGA and DP World Tours, now seeking a new path with LIV Golf. Maximilian Rottluff comes with his own perspective on LIV Golf Promotions; the 32-year-old qualified last year through this very tournament for the International Series on the Asian Tour.

International Stars and Open Chapters at LIV Golf

The international field features many well-known names in global professional golf, including Ryder Cup participant Chris Wood (England) and five-time DP World Tour winner Alex Levy (France). Miguel Tabuena (Philippines), ranked among the top three of the International Series in 2025, and Pablo Ereno (Spain), once a top-ten amateur world-ranked player, are also competing. Christopher Wood (Australia), currently leading the PGA Tour of Australasia, is part of the field. Former LIV Golf players
