Player Field Expands to 57 in 2026
The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with an enlarged player roster. Previously smaller, the field will now consist of 57 players. Thirteen teams will each field four players, complemented by 5 wildcard players who compete independently of the teams but hold guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will grant three direct season exemptions, an increase from the two previously awarded through this qualification format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars
The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This 72-hole stroke play event features a unique tiered scoring system with multiple score resets, creating a dynamic competition.
On day one, the top 20 players and ties will qualify for day two, after which scores will reset. The day two field is supplemented by automatically qualified players, with the top 20 and ties advancing to the next round.
Another reset precedes day three. The final rankings over days three and four are determined by a 36-hole scoring phase. The top three players earn a spot in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full exemptions into the 2026 International Series.
