Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with a larger field. Going forward, 57 players will be part of the league, up from smaller fields in previous seasons. Competing in 13 teams, each squad will have four players. The field is supplemented by 5 wildcards, who will compete independently of the teams but receive guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will award three direct starting spots for the season, an increase from two spots previously offered through this qualification format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions takes place from January 8–11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The event serves as the central qualification tournament and is played over 72 holes of stroke play. A unique tiered system with multiple score resets enhances the competition’s dynamic nature.

On day one, the top 20 players plus ties advance to day two, after which scores are reset. Day two includes automatically qualified players and again the top 20 plus ties move on.

Before day three, scores reset once more. A 36-hole scoring over days three and four determines the final standings. The top three secure spots in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten gain full exemptions for the 2026 International Series.
