Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will start the 2026 season with a larger field. From now on, 57 players will be part of the league, up from a smaller previous roster. Thirteen teams will each field four players, supplemented by 5 independent wildcard players who are guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct starting rights for the 2026 season will be awarded, up from only two previously available via this qualifying format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Stage for Rising Stars

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This 72-hole stroke play tournament serves as the central qualification event, using a special tiered system with multiple score resets to create a dynamic competition.

On day one, the top 20 players and ties qualify for day two, after which scores are reset. The field is then supplemented by automatically qualified players, with the top 20 and ties advancing again. Before day three, scores are reset once more, and a 36-hole scoring period over days three and four determines final standings. The top three secure a spot in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten earn full status for the 2026 International Series.
