Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League is set to start 2026 with an enlarged player field. Previously smaller, the league will now include 57 players. These compete in 13 teams with four players each. Additionally, 5 wildcard players will participate independently of the teams, holding guaranteed starting positions at all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will grant three direct season start spots, up from two previously available through this qualification format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Stage for Rising Talent

The third LIV Golf Promotions event takes place January 8-11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This tournament serves as the main qualification event, played as a 72-hole stroke play with a unique tiered scoring reset system that adds dynamism.

On day one, the top 20 players and ties advance to day two, after which scores reset. The field is supplemented by automatically qualified players before again the top 20 and ties proceed to the next stage.

Another score reset occurs before day three. A 36-hole scoring over days three and four determines final placement. The top three earn places in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full status for the 2026 International Series.
