Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with a larger field. Going forward, 57 players will be part of the league, compared to a smaller roster in prior seasons. The competition features 13 teams, each with four players. Additionally, five wildcards will join as independent players with guaranteed starts at all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct starting spots for the 2026 season will be awarded, up from two in previous qualification formats.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The tournament serves as a key qualification event, played over 72 holes in stroke play format, featuring a unique tiered system with multiple score resets, making the competition especially dynamic.

On day one, the top 20 players and ties qualify for the second day, after which scores are reset. Day two’s field is supplemented by automatically qualified players, and again the top 20 and ties advance to the next round.

Prior to day three, scores reset once more. A 36-hole stroke play over days three and four then determines the final ranking. The top three earn spots in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full status for the 2026 International Series.
