Field Grows to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will start the 2026 season with an expanded player field. Going forward, 57 players will be part of the league, up from the previously smaller fields. The league will feature 13 teams, each fielding four players. Additionally, 5 wildcard players will compete independently from the teams but will have guaranteed starting spots in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will award three direct tour cards for the season, an increase from the previous two available through this qualifying format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars

The third LIV Golf Promotions event will be held from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This tournament serves as the main qualifying event and is played as a 72-hole stroke play competition. It features a unique tiered scoring system with multiple score resets to keep the competition dynamic.

On the first day, the top 20 players and ties advance to the second day, after which scores are reset. The field for day two includes automatically qualified players, with the top 20 and ties moving on to the next round.

Before day three, scores are reset again. A 36-hole stroke play over days three and four determines the final standings. The top three players earn places in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten receive full status for the 2026 International Series.
