Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will launch its 2026 season with a larger field. Going forward, 57 players will be part of the league, up from a smaller previous roster. The league consists of 13 teams, each fielding four players. Additionally, 5 wildcard players will compete independently from the teams but will have guaranteed starts at all 13 regular season events.

New Qualifying Opportunities

Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct tour cards will be awarded for the 2026 season, an increase from the previous two spots available via this qualification format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: Platform for Emerging Talent

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The event serves as the primary qualifying tournament, played as a 72-hole stroke play competition featuring a special tiered scoring system with multiple score resets to create a dynamic contest.

On the first day, the top 20 players and ties qualify for the second round, after which scores are reset. The second day includes automatically qualified players, with another top 20 plus ties advancing further.

Before day three, scores are reset again. A 36-hole total over days three and four determines the final standings. The top three players earn a place in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full playing rights for the 2026 International Series.
