Field Grows to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with a larger field. Previously smaller, the league will now feature 57 players competing in 13 teams, each made up of four players. Additionally, five wildcards will compete independently of teams but have guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct starting spots for the 2026 season will be awarded, an increase from the previous two spots available through this qualification format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: Platform for Rising Stars

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This 72-hole stroke play event serves as the central qualification tournament, featuring a unique tiered system with multiple score resets that add dynamism to the competition.

On day one, the top 20 players and ties advance to day two, after which scores are reset. Day two includes automatically qualified players, again with the top 20 and ties advancing.

Before day three, scores reset once more. The final rankings over days three and four are decided by a 36-hole stroke play. The top three earn spots in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full playing rights for the 2026 International Series.
