LIV Golf continues to grow in 2026, expanding the field to 57 players with new qualification routes and wildcards.
Starting with the LIV Golf 2026 season, 57 players will compete for points, victories, and team success, enabled by additional wildcards and qualification opportunities.
Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League will start its 2026 season with a larger field. From now on, 57 players will be part of the league, up from a smaller roster previously. The league will feature 13 teams with four players per team. Adding to the competition, 5 wildcards will compete independently of the teams but have guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct entry spots for the 2026 season will be awarded, up from two in prior years.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: Platform for Rising Stars
The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place January 8–11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This event serves as the central qualifying tournament, played as a 72-hole stroke play event with a unique tiered scoring system featuring multiple score resets to keep competition dynamic.
On day one, the top 20 players plus ties qualify for day two, after which scores reset. Day two’s field is supplemented with automatically qualified players, and again the top 20 plus ties advance. Before day three, scores reset again, with a 36-hole total over days three and four determining final placements. The top three earn spots in the LIV Golf League, and the top ten secure full cards for the 2026 International Series.
