Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will launch its 2026 season with an enlarged field. Previously smaller, the league will feature 57 players in total, organized into 13 teams with four players each. Furthermore, 5 wildcard players will join independently of the teams, each securing guaranteed starting spots in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct entries into the 2026 season will be awarded, up from two spots available before via this qualification format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: Platform for Rising Stars

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This key qualifying event is played over 72 holes stroke play and features a unique tiered scoring system with multiple score resets, adding dynamic competition.

On day one, the top 20 players and ties advance to the second day, after which scores reset. The field is supplemented with automatically qualified players for day two, where again the top 20 and ties move on to the next round.

Scores are reset once more before day three. A 36-hole scoring aggregate over days three and four then decides the final ranking. The top three earn spots in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full starting rights on the 2026 International Series.
