LIV Golf expands its 2026 season field to 57 players with new qualification routes and wildcards.

Field Grows to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with an expanded field of 57 players, up from a smaller roster in previous seasons. The league will feature 13 teams, each with four players. The field will also be supplemented by 5 wildcard players who will compete independently of the teams but hold guaranteed starting spots in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will offer three direct season starts, an increase from the previous two spots available through this qualification format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will be held from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This tournament serves as the central qualifier and is contested over 72 holes stroke play, featuring a special staging system with multiple score resets to keep the competition dynamic.

On the first day, the top 20 players and ties advance to the second day, after which scores are reset. Additional automatically qualified players join for day two, where again the top 20 and ties move on to the next round.

Before day three, scores reset once more; the final placement over days three and four is decided by a 36-hole stroke play. The top three earn spots in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full starting rights for the International Series 2026.
