LIV Golf grows further in 2026 with an expanded field of 57 players and new qualification paths plus wildcards.

Starting from the 2026 LIV Golf season, 57 players will compete for points, victories, and team success, made possible by additional wildcards and qualification opportunities.

Field Grows to 57 Players in 2026

The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with an expanded field. The league will now feature 57 players, up from a smaller roster in previous years. Thirteen teams will each field four players per team. The field is supplemented by five wildcard players who compete independently of the teams but hold guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.

New Qualification Opportunities

In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will award three direct tour cards for the season, an increase from the two previously available through this qualification format.

LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Emerging Talent

The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions takes place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This 72-hole stroke play tournament features a unique tiered scoring system with multiple score resets that add dynamic competition elements.

On day one, the top 20 players and ties advance to day two where scores are reset. Additional automatically qualified players join the field, and again the top 20 and ties proceed.

Before day three, scores reset once more and a 36-hole total from days three and four determines final rankings. The top three players secure spots in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten earn full status for the 2026 International Series.
