LIV Golf continues to grow in 2026 with 57 players and new qualification paths and wildcards.
Starting with the 2026 LIV Golf season, 57 players will compete for points, victories, and team success, enabled by additional wildcards and qualification opportunities.
Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with an expanded field. The league will now include 57 players instead of the previously smaller roster. Players will compete in 13 teams, each fielding four players. The field will also include 5 wildcard entrants who compete independently of the teams but are guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will award three direct spots for the season, an increase from the previous two spots available through this qualification format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars
The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place January 8–11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This central qualification event is played over 72 holes stroke play using a unique tiered system with multiple score resets to maintain competitive tension.
On day one, the top 20 players and ties advance to day two, after which scores are reset. Day two introduces automatically qualified players, and again the top 20 and ties move on. Another score reset occurs before day three. A 36-hole total over days three and four then determines final placement. The top three earn a spot in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full status for the International Series 2026.
