Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with an enlarged field. Previously smaller, the league will now feature 57 players. The competition consists of 13 teams, each comprising four players. Additionally, five wildcards will compete independently of teams but are guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Paths
Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct entries for the 2026 season will be awarded, up from two in previous years for this qualifying format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Emerging Talent
The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place January 8–11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This 72-hole stroke play tournament serves as the main qualification event and features a unique tiered system with multiple score resets, creating a dynamic competition format.
On day one, the top 20 players plus ties advance to the second day, after which scores reset. Day two’s field is supplemented by automatically qualified players, with again the top 20 plus ties moving on.
Before day three, scores reset once more. A 36-hole scoring over days three and four determines final placements. The top three earn a spot in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full status for the 2026 International Series.
