LIV Golf continues to grow in 2026 with an expanded field of 57 players and new qualification routes and wildcards.
Starting in the 2026 LIV Golf season, 57 players will compete for points, wins, and team success, enabled by additional wildcards and new qualification possibilities.
Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League will launch its 2026 season with a larger field of competitors. Previously smaller, the league will now feature 57 players. They will compete in 13 teams with four players each. The field is completed by five wildcard players, who will compete independently of the teams but have guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will grant three direct entries to the LIV Golf League season, up from two spots in previous years.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars
The third LIV Golf Promotions takes place from January 8-11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This central qualifying event is a 72-hole stroke play tournament featuring a unique tiered scoring system with multiple score resets, creating a dynamic competition.
On day one, the top 20 players and ties qualify for day two, followed by a score reset. The field is supplemented by automatically qualified players on day two, and again the top 20 and ties advance.
Before day three, scores reset once more. A 36-hole scoring over days three and four then determines final rankings. The top three secure spots in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten earn full starts in the 2026 International Series.
