The LIV Golf League will kick off the 2026 season with an expanded field. The league will feature 57 players, up from previous smaller fields. These players will compete in 13 teams with four players each. Additionally, five wildcard players will participate independently from the teams but will have guaranteed starts at all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will grant three direct tour cards for the LIV Golf League season, increased from two previously available through this qualification format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Emerging Talent
The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This central qualifying event is a 72-hole stroke play competition featuring a unique stage system with multiple score resets to create a dynamic competition.
On day one, the top 20 players plus ties advance to day two, after which scores are reset. The field is then supplemented by automatically qualified players, and again the top 20 plus ties will move on.
Before day three, scores are reset once more. The final ranking is decided over 36 holes spanning days three and four. The top three players earn a spot in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full status on the 2026 International Series.
