With an expanded field of 57 players plus new qualifications and wildcards, LIV Golf grows further in 2026.
In the 2026 LIV Golf season, 57 players will compete for points, victories, and team achievements, enabled by additional wildcards and qualifying opportunities.
Field Grows to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League will launch 2026 with a larger field. The league will now feature 57 players, up from the smaller fields of previous seasons. The competition consists of 13 teams, each with four players. The field is complemented by 5 wildcard players who compete independently of teams but have guaranteed starting spots in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct entries to the 2026 season will be awarded, up from just two spots previously available via this qualification format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Stage for Rising Stars
The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place January 8–11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This central qualifying event is a 72-hole stroke play tournament featuring a unique tiered system with multiple score resets that make the competition especially dynamic.
On day one, the top 20 players and ties qualify for day two, with scores then reset. The field on day two includes automatically qualified players, and again the top 20 and ties progress to the next round.
Before day three, scores are reset once more. A 36-hole stroke play across days three and four determines final standings. The top three secure spots in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten earn full starts in the 2026 International Series.
