Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with a larger roster. Going forward, 57 players will be part of the league, up from a smaller field previously. The league features 13 teams with four players each. The field is supplemented by 5 wildcard players who compete independently of teams but hold guaranteed starting spots in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
Through LIV Golf Promotions, three direct spots for the 2026 season will be awarded—an increase from the two spots previously available through this qualifying format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars
The third edition of LIV Golf Promotions will take place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This event serves as the central qualifier and is played as a 72-hole stroke play competition, featuring a unique tiered system with multiple score resets to maintain dynamic contest.
On day one, the top 20 players and ties advance to day two, after which scores are reset. The second day’s field is augmented by automatically qualified players before the top 20 and ties move on to the next stage.
Another score reset occurs before day three. A 36-hole scoring over days three and four determines final placements. The top three players earn a spot in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full eligibility for the 2026 International Series.
