Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League will begin the 2026 season with a larger field, increasing to 57 players from a previously smaller lineup. The league consists of 13 teams, each with four players. The field is supplemented by 5 wildcards who compete independently of teams but have guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will award three direct tour cards for the season, up from two previously available through this qualification format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Emerging Players
The third LIV Golf Promotions event will be held from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This 72-hole stroke play tournament serves as the central qualifier with a unique tiered scoring system featuring multiple score resets to maintain dynamic competition.
On day one, the top 20 players and ties advance to day two, after which scores reset. The field is replenished by automatically qualified players for day two, with the top 20 and ties moving on again. Another score reset occurs before day three. A 36-hole aggregate over days three and four determines final standings. The top three earn spots on the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full status for the 2026 International Series.
