With an expanded field of 57 players plus new qualification and wildcard spots, LIV Golf grows further in 2026.

Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League launches its 2026 season with a larger field. Previously smaller, the league will now feature 57 players. These compete across 13 teams, each with four players. The field is supplemented by 5 wildcard players who compete independently from the teams but have guaranteed starts in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities for 2026
In 2026, LIV Golf Promotions will award three direct tour cards, up from two previously available through this qualification format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: Platform for Rising Stars
The third LIV Golf Promotions event takes place from January 8-11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This 72-hole stroke play tournament uses a unique tiered system with multiple score resets, creating a dynamic competition.
On day one, the top 20 players plus ties advance to the second day. Scores are then reset. The field for day two includes automatically qualified players, with the top 20 and ties again advancing.
Before day three, scores are reset once more. A 36-hole scoring over days three and four determines final placement. The top three earn places in the LIV Golf League, while the tournament’s top ten secure full playing rights for the 2026 International Series.
