Field Expands to 57 Players in 2026
The LIV Golf League will launch the 2026 season with a larger field. The league will feature 57 players, an increase from previous smaller fields. The 13 teams will each consist of four players. The field will also include 5 wildcard players who compete independently of teams but have guaranteed starting spots in all 13 regular season events.
New Qualification Opportunities
Through LIV Golf Promotions in 2026, three direct season start spots will be awarded, an increase from the previous two spots available via this qualification format.
LIV Golf Promotions 2026: A Platform for Rising Stars
The third LIV Golf Promotions event will take place from January 8 to 11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. This tournament serves as the central qualifier and is contested as a 72-hole stroke play event featuring a special tiered system with multiple score resets, creating a dynamic competition.
On the first day, the top 20 players and ties qualify for day two, after which scores are reset. Day two’s field is supplemented by automatically qualified players, and again the top 20 and ties advance to the next round.
Before day three, scores are reset once more. The final standings are decided over 36 holes spanning days three and four. The top three finishers earn a place in the LIV Golf League, while the top ten secure full playing rights for the International Series 2026.
