Linn Grant dominates The ANNIKA, Henseleit finishes strong, Krauter narrowly retains LPGA card, while Kai Trump misses the cut.
Swedish golfer Linn Grant secured her second LPGA title with a commanding performance at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican in Belleair, Florida. After opening with a 68 on Thursday, Grant surged up the leaderboard with a 63 on Friday. A 65 on Saturday gave her a one-shot lead heading into the final round, where she sealed the win with another 65. Grant finished three strokes ahead of major champion Jennifer Kupcho, who posted 16-under-par for second place. Gaby Lopez claimed solo third at 15-under, while Charley Hull, Auston Kim, and Lucy Li shared fourth place at 13-under.
While the top of the leaderboard drew much attention, many players were also battling for crucial CME Globe points. The top 60 in the season-long standings qualified for the CME Group Tour Championship (Nov 20–23, 2025), while the top 100 retained their LPGA Tour cards for the next season.
Henseleit shines, Krauter clings to LPGA status
Germany’s Esther Henseleit delivered a solid performance, finishing T15 at 9-under-par. She secured 41st place in the Race to CME Globe standings, earning a spot in the season finale and securing her LPGA status for 2025. Olivia Cowan ended T48, finishing 123rd in the standings and missing direct qualification for next season. Despite missing the cut with rounds of 70 and 72, Aline Krauter held onto the 100th spot, narrowly retaining her LPGA card. Alongside Switzerland’s Albane Valenzuela, who finished T65, Henseleit and Krauter are the only DACH-region players confirmed for the 2025 LPGA season.
Kai Trump misses cut in LPGA debut
Kai Trump, granddaughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, made her LPGA debut but failed to make the cut after rounds of 83 and 75, finishing last on the leaderboard. In addition to her famous grandfather, who owns several golf courses, Kai has another high-profile supporter: 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, who has been in a relationship with her mother Vanessa since March and is reportedly supporting her professional golf ambitions.
