Chiara Tamburlini finishes runner-up at Aramco China Championship

Chiara Tamburlini shines again on the LET, finishing second behind Ruixin Liu at the Aramco China Championship.

Swiss golfer Chiara Tamburlini secured a strong second-place finish at the Aramco China Championship on the Ladies European Tour, trailing only China’s Ruixin Liu. Tamburlini opened with a 71 on Thursday, carding five birdies but was set back by a bogey and a double bogey on the third hole. She bounced back with a 69 on Friday, capped off by an eagle on the final hole. On Saturday, Tamburlini delivered a flawless 66 with seven birdies, showcasing her consistency and form. Liu, who led from the start, posted rounds of 70, 65, and 68 to finish at 16-under-par, three strokes ahead of Tamburlini at 13-under.

This marks Tamburlini’s third runner-up finish on the LET this year, following similar results at the VP Swiss Bank Ladies Open in September and the Aramco Korea Championship in May. With this performance, she climbs to fourth in the LET Order of Merit and records her 11th top-10 finish in 19 events this season. Tamburlini has opted to skip the season-ending Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España to prepare for the LPGA Q-School Final Qualifying in Alabama in early December.
