When Will Bennett Scheffler Complete the Slam? End-of-Year Golf Highlights

Koepka’s ban, Pereira’s retirement, McIlroy’s club memberships, Müller’s swing lesson, Williams’ golf classic. The Back Nine at year-end.

When will Scottie Scheffler complete the career Grand Slam? The four-time major winner, having already secured victories at the Masters, PGA Championship, and Open Championship this year, needs only the US Open. In about six months, at the 126th U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club on Long Island, this could happen. Given Scheffler’s dominance and proven skill on the PGA Tour, there’s little doubt the world number one will join the exclusive group of Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ben Hogan, and Gene Sarazen—either soon (likely) or eventually (less likely). Bookmakers have made the 29-year-old the overwhelming favorite at all four majors in 2026.
