Four tours offer seven days of golf from the Bahamas to the PGA Tour and Dubai, featuring several German participants. Golf week preview:
Korn Ferry Tour: Long Monday in the Bahamas
The international golf week kicks off on the Bahamas with the Korn Ferry Tour. The first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classics is already underway at The Great Abaco Club on Winding Bay. Due to approaching darkness, the first round could not be completed regularly, resulting in a particularly long golf day on Monday. Currently, the clubhouse leaderboard shows a score of -5 at the top, while Ben Taylor, after 15 holes, leads alone at -6 with a strong performance to finish.
The tournament runs until Wednesday and is broadcast daily from 8:00 pm on MagentaTV.
DP World Tour: Star-studded field and strong German presence in Dubai
The DP World Tour remains in Dubai, playing at the Emirates Golf Club. Seven German-speaking players start at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on Thursday. Besides Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem, the field includes Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul competing for the $9 million prize fund. International star power is also guaranteed: Rory McIlroy, a four-time event winner, is among the favorites, along with Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Reed, and Francesco Molinari. Nacho Elvira will tee off confidently following his win the previous week in Dubai.
The Dubai Desert Classic will be broadcast on MagentaTV starting at 8:30 am on Thursday and Friday, with weekend coverage beginning at 8:00 am.
PGA Tour: Scheffler begins 2026 season
The PGA Tour also starts on Thursday at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California. World number one Scottie Scheffler begins his 2026 golf season aiming to continue the successes of his outstanding 2025. A title at the American Express Championship still eludes him.
Defending champion Sepp Straka from Austria will compete again. It will also be interesting to see if Ryan Gerard (2nd place at the Dubai Invitational) and Patrick Rodgers (3rd place at the Dubai Invitational) can maintain their strong form. Germans Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid will also represent their country.
MagentaTV broadcasts daily from 5:30 pm Thursday through Saturday.
PGA Tour Champions: Legends tee off in Hawaii
The PGA Tour Champions kicks off and closes the golf week with the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai from Friday to Sunday. German golf legends Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka join international stars like Miguel Ángel Jiménez. They face competition from Vijay Singh, who has warmed up with a made cut on the PGA Tour the previous week in Hawaii.
Live coverage from Hawaii begins Friday at 1:00 am on MagentaTV.
