Four tours offer seven days of golf action from the Bahamas to the PGA Tour and Dubai with several German players. The golf week preview:
Korn Ferry Tour: Long Monday in the Bahamas
The international golf week kicks off right at the start with the Korn Ferry Tour in the Bahamas. At the Great Abaco Club on Winding Bay, the first round of the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic is already underway. Due to the onset of darkness, the first round could not be completed as scheduled, resulting in a particularly long golf day on Monday. Currently, a round of -5 leads the clubhouse, while Ben Taylor, after 15 holes played, stands alone in the lead at -6 with a strong performance to come.
The tournament continues until Wednesday and will be broadcast daily from 8:00 p.m. on MagentaTV.
DP World Tour: Star-Studded Field and Strong German Presence in Dubai
The DP World Tour remains in Dubai at the Emirates Golf Club. Seven German-speaking players will start the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on Thursday. Among them are Nicolai von Dellingshausen and Marcel Siem, as well as Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Freddy Schott, Bernd Wiesberger, and Jeremy Paul competing for a $9 million prize fund. International star power is guaranteed with four-time winner Rory McIlroy among the favorites. Also participating are Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Reed, and Francesco Molinari. Nacho Elvira, fresh off a win in Dubai last week, will play with added confidence.
The Dubai Desert Classic will be broadcast on MagentaTV from 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, with weekend coverage starting at 8:00 a.m.
PGA Tour: Scheffler Starts the 2026 Golf Season
The PGA Tour also begins on Thursday at the Pete Dye Stadium Course in La Quinta, California, where Scottie Scheffler starts his 2026 campaign. After an outstanding 2025, the world number one aims to continue his success, still seeking a title at the American Express Championship. Austrian defending champion Sepp Straka will also compete. It will be interesting to see if Ryan Gerard and Patrick Rodgers can maintain their strong form from last week’s Dubai Invitational. German representation includes Stephan Jäger and Matti Schmid.
MagentaTV will broadcast daily from Thursday to Saturday starting at 5:30 p.m.
PGA Tour Champions: Legends Tee Off in Hawaii
Concluding the golf week, the PGA Tour Champions begin their Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hualalai, Hawaii, from Friday to Sunday. German golf legends Bernhard Langer and Alex Cejka join international stars like Miguel Ángel Jiménez. They face competition including Vijay Singh, who warmed up last week with a made cut on the PGA Tour.
Live coverage from Hawaii on MagentaTV starts Friday morning at 1:00 a.m.
